but most people call me Shiv. I’m a professional celebrant passionate about creating heartfelt, authentic, and meaningful ceremonies that truly reflect the people they’re for. Whether it’s a wedding, a vow renewal, or a naming ceremony, my role is to honour your unique story and craft a moment in time that feels deeply personal and unforgettable.
My journey to becoming a celebrant started when a few friends asked me to officiate their ceremonies. I was chuffed but said..."really? Are you sure? Me?" And they were like "duh, yeah, of course you".
Their belief in me, combined with how much I loved being part of such special occasions, inspired me to train professionally so I could help others mark their milestones in a truly personal way and give them my best.
With a background as an actor, voiceover artist, and writer, I’ve spent my career bringing stories to life. I know how to find the words that resonate, deliver them with sincerity, and create an atmosphere that feels special and inclusive. I’m also a certified breathwork and meditation facilitator, which means I’m well-practised in creating calm and grounded spaces.
That said, I’m also really good fun and always up for a laugh—after all, celebrations should be joyful right!?
For me, being a celebrant is about more than just writing and officiating. It’s about listening to your vision, understanding what matters to you, and weaving those elements together with care and creativity. Whether you want something traditional, modern, light-hearted, or poetic, I’ll work with you to ensure your ceremony feels just right.
